Charlotte, the Queen City, is an easy drive to the south, or take the Blue Line Light Rail straight into Uptown! Many residents of Hubbard Falls work in Charlotte, attesting to its easy access. - The Wells Fargo and IBM business parks, as well as the University of North Carolina-Charlotte are a short drive away, as the community is about halfway between I-85 and I-77 along West W.T. Harris Blvd
- Very close to an I-485 exit off Rt 115, Old Statesville Rd or via West W.T. Harris Blvd to the west
- Northlake Mall (featuring Macy's!), Super Target, Lowe's and other retailers are a short drive away, also along West W. T. Harris Blvd to the west
- The JW Clay Lynx Blue Line light rail station with its ample parking garage, which will take you to Uptown Charlotte and other areas along the route, is about 15 minutes away via West W.T. Harris Blvd to the east
- Lake Norman, with the busy yet quaint lake towns of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson, (as well as the nearest beach!) is a very easy drive to the north
- Davidson College, with its many sports and cultural activities, many if not most open to the general public, is a beautiful and safe place to walk for exercise, then have lunch or breakfast nearby at one of the quaint restaurants in Old Town Davidson.
